Job summary Exciting Opportunity: General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist Are you an experienced General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist with a passion for teamwork and dynamic care environments? This dual-role position primarily involves working with the Worthing Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team, while also providing clinical support to the Haven a nurse-led 23 hour assessment urgent care unit. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with two dedicated, multi-disciplinary teams to provide intensive community-based support to service users. This role serves as a vital alternative to inpatient psychiatric admissions, offering varied and fulfilling experiences. Conduct comprehensive assessments of acutely unwell individuals and prescribe medications to complement therapeutic interventions provided by the Crisis Team/Haven, helping service users embark on their recovery journey. Work closely with clinical band 7s and the wider team to support individuals recently discharged from hospital, as well as those awaiting beds in the community. You'll play a key role in offering short-term interventions aimed at reducing the need for inpatient admissions. Take an active part in professional meetings, complex case reviews, reflective practices, and lead in multi-disciplinary team decisions.
