Supplier Assistant
This is a hybrid position (2 days in the office), based in Brentwood.
Summary
Our client is looking for a Supplier Assistant to contribute to the effective management of assigned suppliers. They will be the interface between assigned suppliers and internal departments and look to deliver indemnity savings and reduce operational expense. They will also optimise the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration.
* Manage the full supplier lifecycle, from sourcing and contract negotiations to performance evaluation.
* Collaborate with internal teams to align supplier performance with company goals and quality standards.
* Identify and implement strategies for improving supplier performance, cost-efficiency, and risk management.
* Address and resolve any supplier-related issues or challenges, ensuring timely solutions and continuous improvement.
* Stay up-to-date on market trends and supplier capabilities to drive strategic sourcing decisions.
Qualification and Experience needed
* Proven experience in supplier management, procurement, or supply chain management.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a solutions-oriented mindset.
* A deep understanding of supply chain operations and vendor management best practices.
* Ability to build and nurture long-term, professional relationships.
* Detail-oriented with a strategic approach to performance management.
