A wonderful 1 form entry school in Harrow/Edgeware area of London is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant to support 2 students in Reception.
These students have global delay, autism, and need support with their communication and fine motor skills.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will;
* Provide one-on-one or group support for these students, helping them engage with the curriculum.
* Adapt resources and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
* Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) to implement education plans.
* Encourage and promote the students' social, emotional, and academic development.
* Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Provide feedback to teachers and parents on students’ progress.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN, such as autism, ADHD, or other learning difficulties.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work flexibly in different settings and adapt to varied needs.
* A calm and proactive approach to managing challenging behavior.
