The Colchester site is also the Centre of Excellence for the group for all Axial, Air Movement and Fire Safety products and serves to enable product & system sales in Building Services, Industrial, Original Equipment, and Tunnel & Metro applications globally. Main Purpose of Role: Work closely with sales colleagues and in partnership with customers and suppliers to develop technically and commercially accurate Services quotations. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Provide support to customers, responding appropriately to all commercial requests. Ensure all enquiries are professionally handled and processed in accordance with company policy and customer deadline dates. Fully review the technical requirements contained within customers enquiry and issue quotations either in full accordance if possible, or with comments on any deviations from the specification. Liaise with Suppliers regarding non-standard items required to meet customer requirements and retain records, lead times, technical details and costing. Prepare technical submittals, incorporating full details of selections/products offered if required by the customer/enquiry. Co-ordinate & verify fan selections with Engineering or other support functions. Co-ordinate system calculation with Customers, Suppliers and Engineering, verification and submission to Customers in support of the Enquiry. Provide high level of service to customers, answering any general queries & technical guidance required on a daily basis. Maintain accurate costing method for all quotations issued, ensuring non-standard products are clearly defined and available to manufacture. Achieve quotation return dates requested by the customer to the minimum target of 90% on time. Continue to inform customers of delays or extensions required to complete the quotation. Progress quotations issued to customers on a regular basis, working with the Sales Team and local Agents for converting orders placed on the company. Transfer all information and knowledge on project to Project Management Team at point of Order placement. Attending any Project kick-off meetings chaired by the Project Manager. Person Specification/Profile: Highly motivated, the candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent commercial skills. Relevant experience within a manufacturing or equipment servicing environment. Ability to create accurate quotations and costing reports bespoke to each project. Good Interpersonal skills, being comfortable and able to communicate effectively at all levels from customers, suppliers and internal departments. Good lateral thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good prioritisation skills Team player The candidate will have a general understanding of contract terms and conditions. Fully conversant in Excel and MS Office skills, and ideally knowledge of Woods product range and systems.
