About The Team & Role
The Digital & ICT Service within the council plays an integral part in the running of the organisation. Over the last three years, the service has focused on stabilising and improving performance. We are now ready to take the next step in our journey and we are looking for a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Manager to shape and lead the newly formed Infrastructure & Networks Team.
You’ll help the move from legacy technology to modern platforms, increasing automation, improving monitoring and alerting. You will lead a small team, encouraging them to gain new skills and develop a growth mindset. You will work closely with the Head of Security & Infrastructure ensuring that the IT Infrastructure is secure by design.
You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems, networks, and services.
About You
To be successful you will have strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of IT professionals. We need you to be customer experience focused, have an attention to detail, and the ability to work in a reactive environment. You will use your skills and experience to understand and document the existing environment and pull together plans and designs for modernising the IT landscape.
You will be a team player and able to bring a one-service approach to the work delivered within your area of the service.
