The Outpatient Department at Hemel Hempstead Hospital is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in the outpatient setting, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient care.
This is a part time role- 28.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 4-5 days depending on service needs).
*Please note this role requires you to have an NMC Registration pin and have passed OSCE training. If you do not hold both of these, your application will be rejected*
The post holder is expected to lead a positive role model and ability to work well within a team and independently.

• Ability to work autonomously as appropriate.
• Ability to respond quickly and deal with any given emergency.

Work as part of the team to provide a professional, high standard of care for patients, ensuring patients, relatives, and carers understand the outcome of consultations and care pathways.
Assist in minor surgery procedures 3-4 times a week, ensuring patients are comfortable and procedures run smoothly.
Undertake wound care and compression bandaging training within the department to enhance clinical skills.
Lead and support outpatient clinics, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of care.
Supervise and support junior staff and students during placements, providing guidance and promoting professional development.
Support the management of the department and clinics on a day-to-day basis, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to clinical standards.
