This is an exciting opportunity to join our well-established service in Campbeltown. Our services provide person-centred support that enables people to live the life they choose. Responsibilities & Success Factors:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing your team to support people to live safely in their own homes, to realise their ambitions and fulfil their potential. In doing so, you will demonstrate Carr Gomm’s values of: Choice, Control, Interdependence, Respect, Openness, Honesty, Compassion & Kindness.
The role also involves maintaining financial viability of the service, service development and contributing to the local management team. The successful applicant will be able to promote Carr Gomm’s values and policies in all aspects of the role.
A flexible working pattern is an option with some evening and weekend work to ensure service and staff are well supported. The role will involve managing both day and night responders and mobile home care teams.

In our eyes, the best Service Manager is a person who has:
1. Experience of developing and implementing quality assurance processes to support service development and improvement.
2. The ability to motivate and inspire others to be the best they can be by supporting their learning and development.
3. Experience of providing direct support on a one-to-one basis with a person-centred approach.
4. Experience of managing support arrangements including support agreements/plans and risk assessments.
5. Experience of managing people including planning staff rotas to deliver a service.
6. SVQ4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or willingness to undertake within the required time.
7. The ability to understand and pass complex information to people with different levels of understanding including people we support, their family and other professionals in a clear and concise manner.
8. An understanding of how to develop support plans and risk assessments and putting these into practice. Good written and verbal communication skills required.
