Job Title: Plater Fabricator
Shift: Day Shift
Salary: Up to £17.50 per hour

A leading generator specialist that provides solutions, maintenance, sales and hire to customers across the UK.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Plater Fabricator Role:
1. Cut, shape and assemble steel plate components.
2. Building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings with precision.
3. Ensure quality is kept to a high standard throughout and carry out visual inspections to ensure fabrication & build is correct to drawings.
4. Manoeuvre fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials.
5. Work from engineering drawings & specifications and correct revisions.
6. Place each product component in its appropriate spot as noted in the blueprints.
7. Engineer technical drawings for proper alignment by using the correct hand tools.
8. Perform grinding, burning and other fabrication tasks.
9. Review blueprints, drawings and other specification papers before starting work on a fabrication process and during the steps to ensure accurate completion.
10. Employ furnaces or hand torches to heat up materials to make them more flexible for bending or manipulation into the correct specification.
11. Make templates/jigs for common work tasks when conducting repetitive motions for the fabrication process to ensure a set standard of work quality.
12. Overtime: After 38 hours enhanced pay for overtime.
Requirements for the Plater Fabricator role:
1. Good knowledge and experience in sheet metal fabrication.
2. Understanding of Q.C inspection and process experience.
3. Experience in using drilling machines, rolling machines, and guillotines.
4. Experience in steel metal fabrication.
5. Ability to interpret work from drawings.
6. Competent in using hand and power tools.
