Job Description
This is a field-based sales role which will require regular travel to Norfolk, UK.
The Account Manager for Sleep and Respiratory Care (SRC) will be responsible for maximising order intake, sales, price realisation, and customer satisfaction whilst developing and optimising the customer relationship in order to ensure long-term profitability in the defined number of accounts.
You will work within the SRC Sales team, collaborating daily with marketing, operations, and finance stakeholders to expand the business within your territory.
Within this team, you will have the opportunity to grow and progress within the direct sales team or the wider Philips business, across a commercial, technical, or managerial pathway.
Your responsibilities
* Accountable for maximising order intake, sales, and price realisation at the assigned accounts within the territory
* Exceed area sales and gross profit targets agreed with the Company
* Ensure continuity of the relationship with the accounts and operate at multiple levels in the accounts’ organisations, facilitating executive level interfaces between the company and the accounts
* Prepare the annual account plan in line with the regional strategy and execute at territory level
* Contribute to the development and implementation of local marketing strategies
* Responsible for filling the funnel management tool and systematically analysing win & loss deals, expectations, customer satisfaction, market, competition, and trends
* Responsible for the sales forecast at the assigned accounts
* Take product responsibilities as directed
* Participate in relevant exhibitions or local events
* Assist in training other team members
* Lead the account teams, organise necessary actions, and ensure required results are met in time
* Collaborate with channel partners where required
* Coordinate all internal necessary resources to obtain objectives and involve others where necessary
* Ensure quotations are completed and delivered within time limits
* Ensure that completed quotations are based on a solution/configuration compliant with specifications validated by the Business and properly reviewed by Operations for feasibility and accuracy prior to being issued
* Ensure any third-party product included in the solution and not part of the catalogue is properly validated for compatibility/compliance of specifications
* Responsible for reporting customer feedback according to applicable quality Standard policy and follow up on relevant assigned quality & regulatory training in a timely manner
* If required, provide dedicated support to assigned accounts to ensure timely collection of Accounts Receivable
* Constantly extend the customer base
* Take on additional project responsibilities when requested
* Report back competitor activity and business opportunities
* Carry out ad hoc projects as required.
Your team
You will report into the Sales Leader for SRC and work alongside Account Managers for SRC within other regions.
This position will be field-based, spending 80% of your time working across the Norfolk area, with the remainder of your time working from home.
We are looking for
* Experience working with the NHS in some capacity is essential, ideally having worked with service leads (i.e., Procurement and Operations)
* Experience in a sales role in Healthcare and B2B environment ideally working with large contracts
* Experience within respiratory care or sleep services
* A clinical background would be beneficial
* Strong natural sales instinct
* Excellent communication skills
* A drive to succeed and exceed sales targets
* Valid driving licence
