A temporary post has become available for Supervisor within the Mobile Emergency Care Service within Falkirk Council for a temporary period to 31st December 2025.
The post holder will be expected to lead and supervise a team of wardens on shift which will involve them answering alarm calls from MECS service users together with the provision of personal care services to support people to remain at home and assist in both the prevention of admission to hospital and facilitate earlier hospital discharges.
You will be crucial to the implementation of significant changes in service delivery and should be able to demonstrate a positive attitude to change and development.
You will be expected to have or be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care as a minimum level of qualification.
Previous experience in the delivery of personal care services, including moving and handling, supervision of staff and the possession of a full driving licence are essential criteria together with some experience of basic risk assessment.
Experience and/or training in social care assessment and moving and handling liaison worker functions and working in an emergency service will all be advantageous to applicants.
You will work 33 hours per week. You will be required to work a rostered shift pattern of 4 on 4 off. This will include Early, Back and Night Shifts.
This post is temporary until December 2025 due to service requirement.
