We have a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Compliance Manager to join the Group Finance Team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a remote role that will require travel to either Liverpool, Birmingham or London.
The Tax Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the group's tax compliance reporting and filings. This role includes collaborating with the Group Tax Director on broader reporting responsibilities such as Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) obligations, conducting tax audits, maintaining risk management status, statutory reporting, finance, tax payments, and providing support for various ad-hoc projects.
The standard hours of work are based on 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
You will be responsible for:
* Ensuring Corporate tax reporting and budgeting are accurate and compliant.
* Regular liaison with finance teams to be aware of fiscal changes and build into corporate tax reporting and budgeting.
* Preparation of accurate tax figures and working papers for monthly internal and statutory reporting.
* Managing HMRC enquiries for corporate tax topics.
* Maintaining appropriate corporate tax risk controls to maintain an internally agreed tax risk target status with HMRC.
* Maintain and update corporate tax reporting and filing infrastructure and IT software.
* Input into tax projects as requested by the Group Tax Director.
We want to hear from you if you have:
* ACA/ATII or equivalent by experience.
* Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Extensive Corporate Tax experience.
* Experience in group corporate tax preparation and filing.
* Extensive experience of month end close procedures.
* Ability to work towards strict deadlines.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
