Summary:
The Services Technical Manager is a senior leader within the NSI UK business, accountable for the overall execution and growth of the Technical Services offering. Managing a diverse and remote team, they are responsible for meeting HSE, financial, operational and growth KPIs set by the business.
The Services Technical Manager is responsible for the UK consulting services offered through our Flood Risk & Drainage and Scientific Services teams, as well as any process improvement plans or optimisation projects for existing water and wastewater treatment plants across the industrial and municipal industries. The Services Technical Manager will work closely with the O&M Technical Manager and Service & Upgrades Manager.
Job Description:
1. Demonstrate and promote safety leadership in all aspects of the Company’s business.
2. Uphold company policies and procedures, legislative requirements and act as a role model for the Company’s values and behaviours.
3. Lead, coordinate, motivate and develop the respective teams to achieve the overall objectives.
4. Ensure the effective execution of consulting projects contracts across the UK. Define the organisation and resources required by working closely with various internal departments.
5. Develop initiatives for growth and optimisation of the P&L to meet financial targets.
6. Define and execute an effective strategy for commercial risk management, ensuring all contractual requirements and KPIs are met.
7. Ensure an effective workflow is in place to ensure timely generation of proposals and completion of projects.
8. Develop a seamless approach to the planning process and delivery with the project delivery team.
9. Develop strategies for utilisation of NSI products as outcomes from consulting projects.
10. Work closely with the O&M Technical team and the Engineering Solutions department.
11. Ensure suitable safe systems of work are in place for all site-based activities.
12. Monitor performance and ensure the continuous optimisation of processes.
13. Work in close collaboration with the sales and wider UK/HQ technical teams on new opportunities, whilst promoting the wider group offerings.
14. Careful planning of budgets and organisation structure to ensure financial targets are met.
15. Prepare and present regular reports on department performance.
16. Implement quality control measures to ensure services and projects meet or exceed standards and customer expectations.
Qualifications:
1. Degree and post-graduate qualification in relevant Engineering and/or water treatment discipline (or significant experience in relevant field).
2. In depth understanding of industrial water and wastewater treatment.
3. At least 5 years of management experience.
4. Experience in managing multi-disciplined teams.
5. Appreciation of business strategy development and delivery.
6. Appreciation of service delivery commercial risks and management strategies.
7. Proven experience in project management.
8. Ability to adapt communication to different stakeholders and levels of the internal and external organisations.
9. Demonstrate strong leadership skills and experience.
Working for us means:
* The salary is between £40,000 & £50,000 per year, depending on your professional experience.
* Bonus up to 10%.
* Working Hours 40 per week Mon - Fri.
* Holidays – 25 days + 8 statutory holidays.
* Probationary Period – 6 months.
