Our client is a leading global packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality, which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the site strategy.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Lead and head up all things associated with health & safety for site
2. Provide training, guidance, advice and environmental support
3. Promote a positive outlook on all things Health & Safety, with a continuous improvement culture
4. Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety legislation - ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 standards
5. Influence and coach departmental leaders on best practice and legislation updates
6. Health & safety inspections, audits, training plans and toolbox talks
7. Liaise with external bodies, regulators & agencies - environmental, H&S, local authorities
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1. Must be a positive influencer, promoting continuous improvement culture
2. At least 5 years experience in a similar health & safety role
3. NEBOSH Certificate
4. IOSH Health & Safety
5. Must be a confident character
6. Ideally have worked in manufacturing
7. Previously have led in-house training, conducted risk assessments, audits, inspections
8. Knowledge of Environmental Compliance, UK HS&E legislations
9. Worked to ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 standards
10. Experienced with MS Office & ERP systems
