Role Objective
We are looking for a Commercial Strategy Analyst to build and own commercial forecasting models, support with commissioner data requests and internal KPI reporting. You will also provide intelligence to the Commercial team, mainly around account performance, competition, customers, market trends and market overview through research and analysis of publicly available information and datasets.
Main Responsibilities
Analytics, Forecasting and Modelling
* Develop commercial KPI modelling sheets focused on performance, registrations and resourcing
* Build and maintain contract specific forecasting models based on previous performance and external requirements
* Support monthly data refreshes to core commercial KPI datasets
Reporting and Insights
* Provide accurate, value-added operational reporting and general information for internal and external customers
* Monitor contract compliance, KPIs & overall performance of local contracts
* Report on overall team commercial KPIs
* Prepare written documents and slide packs to communicate analysis findings to internal and external clients in a concise and visual manner
Sales Strategy and Operations
* Use analytics to develop sales strategy for management and to provide the sales organisation with Performance and Insights
* Assist with pricing tenders, monitor customer pricing and analyse sales data
* Present trends, key takeaways and recommendations to relevant stakeholders and executives
* Support the development of the material for monthly sales strategy reviews to support activity focus and performance priorities and support on reporting for budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
* With colleagues in the central support team, identify, develop and validate hypotheses for revenue improvement to provide actionable sales insights that will improve total revenue performance
* With colleagues in the central support team, analyse proposals, presentations, sales processes and develop beyond the current model recommendations to improve our sales conversion and customer experience
Systems & Processes
* Ensuring all data is accurately captured in the relevant systems and on a timely basis
* Identify potential efficiencies and contribute to streamlining, automating and improving the quality of our processes
* Challenging and developing the current process and methodologies and push for continuous improvement
Requirements
* BSc in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or another relevant discipline
* Strong Excel and Google Sheet modelling skills
* Experience using data to create insights and drive decisions
* Experience using data visualization software such as Tableau
* Confidence in finding and analysing publicly available datasets such as NHS or ONS datasets
* Confidence in writing and presenting data reports
* Ability to interpret data in order to conduct a risk analysis of contracts
* Awareness of pricing methodology
* Attention to detail
* Knowledge of Salesforce is desirable but not essential
