Team/Role Overview: The role is cross cluster role supporting UK, Europe, and MEA clusters. The incumbent will be a key member of the UK Controls and Regulatory In-Business Risk team reporting to the Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) UK In-Business Risk Lead. The role integrates in-depth risks and controls knowledge with a solid understanding of the TTS UK franchise. More specifically, the individual will play a key role in managing and mitigating operational, compliance and regulatory risks, and executing risk and control responsibilities for the business as a First Line of Defence function. Further, the individual will support the preparation of multiple governance forum submissions for the TTS UK franchise. The individual will act as SME to the wider In Business Risk team, work very closely with Product In Business Risk as well as the wider Citi Risk and Control community, and have senior management exposure. She/He will contribute supporting the TTS senior manager under the UK Senior Manager Regime. What you’ll do: Support Operational and Compliance Risk in accordance with established Policy requirements. Contributing to the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the implementation of the Control Framework, including Risk Control Policy, Control Standard, Issue Management Policy, Lesson Learned Policy and Control Inventory, Third Party Management. Work with the team to identify, assess, escalate, and manage risk exposures across Risk Categories (Operational Compliance, Strategic, Reputational, etc), including material, emerging and concentration risks in accordance with enterprise Policies Support the team with the Third-Party Management process and framework requirement from a Risk and Control oversight perspective. Support the team with the issue management oversight process, partnering with control and process owners, providing guidance on quality drafting with the aim to reduce data quality comments. Provide check and challenge to ensure appropriate application of the Issue Management Policies. Help coordinate governance and the facilitation of the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA, i.e. Risk & Control Self-Assessment) as required by the MCA Standard including the assessment and appropriate approval of risk associated with business changes. Perform analysis to support with the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the MCA through controls prior to the execution of a process (QC). Support the production of the clusters monthly Risk and Control Forums. Own the mandatory absence and mandatory training oversight process. Be involved with the implementation of standards and procedures that conform to enterprise requirements and support sound operational and compliance risk management. Support the clusters with various cross cluster and global initiatives and programs roll out (e.g. MCA transformation). What we’ll need from you: Relevant risk and control experience. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Outstanding relationship building and relationship management skills. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects across teams and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment. Self-motivated and detail oriented.
