Job Description What will I be doing? In the aerospace manufacturing sector, the HR Administrator will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support to the HR team, assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive generalist HR service. The role responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of administrative and operational support. This includes ensuring data accuracy and efficiency, managing HR information and system transactions, and delivering a professional and high-quality service. By maintaining high standards, demonstrating inquisitiveness, and adopting best practices, the role will help shape our HR service delivery and foster positive outcomes for our employees and the business. Key Objectives - HR administrative support to managers, employees and rest of the HR team. - Ensuring the efficiency of the HR processes and practices. - Ensuring the application of HR policies, practices and rules. Effective Communication & Organisational Skills: - Manage the HR inbox and address day-to-day face-to-face queries efficiently, escalating to the HR team as required ensuring accurate and timely resolution. - Managing the employee life cycle, including processing new joiners, leavers, and transfers, on the boarding system, as well as maintaining leave records and producing required documentation. - Maintain calendars and schedules for HR activities including, Occupational Health appointments, Absence meetings and New Starter inductions. - Manage the time and attendance admin system, creating the necessary reports Attention to Detail & Administrative Proficiency: - Maintain accurate employee data in the HR system (SELIA - SAP) and handle accurate data input for the payroll process. - Create, update, and manage HR documents, including contracts, offer paperwork, formal letters, and corporate clothing processes. - Offer note-taking support in investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures. - Produce various documents required for internal training sessions. - Oversee the Green Travel Scheme, Fire lists, and the Long Service Awards administration. Analytical Skills & Collaboration: - Maintain and enhance HR process manuals for improved efficiency. - Continuously engage in and support the HR department's continuous improvement initiatives. - Support the HR Manager in gathering and analysing HR metrics, such as attendance and turnover and collating monthly reports. - Represent HR at various events and partake in ad hoc administrative tasks as required. - Share HR best practice amongst the HR team. Compliance and Risk Management: - Stay inquisitive and current with HR and employment law updates to ensure compliance. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in line with regulatory requirements. - Support managers with right-to-work checks. Qualifications - English and Maths GCSE grade 9-4 (A-C) - CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards it (preferred but not essential). Competencies - Strong attention to detail and appreciation for data accuracy. - Process-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving end goals. - Excellent administrative and organisational skills, along with the ability to multitask. - A proactive, team-player with a willingness to learn - Self-motivated and capable of working independently towards agreed-upon objectives. Experience - Strong communication skills (written, verbal, listening). - Proficiency in IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Exceptional customer service skills. (This role is open as ideally a 37 hours per week contract.
