As an integral part of the styling team, this role will manage and pre-style all outfits for Matalan’s E-comm model shoots across the ladies, mens, and kids divisions. Support the Senior Art Director in driving continued development of E-comm imagery and the wider styling team on creative shoots, TV campaigns, social partnerships, and content curation when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pre-style all outfits for E-comm shoots ensuring product best represents the brand/seasonal style guide and business needs.
* Act as on-set lead stylist for E-comm photo shoots, either styling or overseeing studio supplied E-comm styling team, ensuring all style guidelines are followed and product is shot in a customer inspiring, product-driven way.
* Own Matalan E-comm styling guides, regularly updating to reflect changing seasonal trends, individual brand direction, and trading insights with all styling props regularly updated and approved for use.
* Own E-comm weekly/bi-monthly check-in meetings with sample team and B&M reps from across ladies, mens, kids, and F&A, managing styling feedback, acting as internal day-to-day contact and facilitator.
* Attend all E-comm model castings alongside Art Director.
* Lead all department product shoot reviews to keep aligned with Matalan trends and styling direction.
* Build strong links with B&M teams and E-comm reps across all divisions.
* Support Style team on styling for all other shoots and product reviews when required - including creative POS, mailer, TV campaigns, social partnerships, and content curation.
* Keep up to date with E-comm industry trends, providing regular competitor analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
* Excellent self-starter and problem solver with effective communication skills, who can manage their own time effectively and be an agile team player.
* 5 years minimum lead Stylist experience on E-comm/creative photoshoots and/or TV advertising - in-house retail styling experience being very beneficial.
* Knowledge of both the digital, high street, and designer retail markets.
* Socially plugged in with a keen interest in social trends, and digital platforms.
* Eye for detail and very well organized.
* Flexible working approach.
* The role involves working both in our Head Office in Knowsley and our Manchester based E-comm studio as well as some London shoot support when required, so flexibility with travel is also essential.
