High-end Residential Developer is looking to recruit a Senior Land Manager who will be responsible for identifying and acquiring land within the North Home Counties region, which covers Greater London, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. You will identify and appraise suitable development land, negotiating terms of contract for suitable sites in and around these areas. Due to the nature of this role you must be able to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.

Additionally, you will determine appropriate and efficient development of identified and contracted property. You will pursue contracts on agreed terms and timescales as well as monitor, assess and comment on planning process in addition to managing appeals against refusal of planning permission. Therefore, it is key that you are effective at building relationships and have the ability to act on your own initiative. You will sell land as directed to benefit the region or Group budget and carry out research and monitor competitors land and product.
You will manage the land bid and land adjudication process effectively and maintain associated reports accurately, highlighting to the Land Director full variances and analysis of risk. Furthermore, you will periodically assist the Land Director in the review and finalisation of the Land Strategy to ensure a strategically focused and well set out planned approach to the delivery of operational land to fuel the business plan objectives.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or similar, with excellent knowledge of the land identification and appraisal process. You will be coaching, mentoring and developing the junior members in the team so you must have proven experience in a similar role with experience dealing with complex land deals. You must have a high level of proficiency in various computer packages including MS Office, as well as excellent planning and organisational skills.
