Our worldwide prestigious clients are currently seeking an experienced and time-served Inspector for their modern, Nottingham based facility, with immediate effect.
The successful candidate will:
1. be responsible for executing the weekly production plan, liaising with Production Leaders and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure the timeliness and efficient completion of the task to the required quality standards.
2. conduct basic first principle measurement, maintain the cell 5S standard, maintain calibration of gauges and equipment, and manage the efficient allocation of consumables, resources, and materials in the cell.
It is essential that the successful candidate:
1. possess a recognised time-served apprenticeship within a Mechanical Engineering discipline, at either City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or BTEC national or equivalent qualification.
2. demonstrate experience in using a variety of engineering equipment and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality.
3. ideally, have relevant inspection experience of engine components.
4. have PC literacy.
5. demonstrate a flexible and adaptable mind-set.
6. be willing to develop new skills and undertake training to operate in a flexible manner to support the business needs.
7. have knowledge of lean principles and process basics.
8. possess problem-solving skills.
9. have knowledge of quality tools, systems, and procedures.
10. exhibit good interpersonal skills.
11. have worked in a customer-focused environment that is subject to change.
12. be available for a strict 3 shift pattern currently in use.
It is desirable that the successful candidate:
1. has an NPL level 1 qualification.
2. has experience working with CMMs.
Hours of work:
1. Operating across a 3 shift rotating pattern - Monday to Friday.
