What Can You Expect Working With New Care?
Our staff are our most treasured asset. We value people, whether they are our residents, their relatives, or our dedicated staff teams. When we recruit new staff, we are very keen to learn as much about them as possible and to ensure they get to know everything about us.
We offer a full induction to all new staff commencing in our homes. This includes shadowing shifts, as well as completing mandatory training before embarking on their first shift working independently. We believe that our people are our single most important asset and we will support your health, well-being, and ongoing development.
We offer ongoing education to help with the development of our staff team. This includes in-house training, as well as VQ’s and required training for our professionally qualified staff.
All education is provided face to face in our homes or in local venues. We do our best to ensure that all staff receive regular updates and are always up to date with the most recent research and evidenced practice.
In relation to our nursing staff, we strive to provide them with the required clinical training to ensure that they are competent to carry out all aspects of their role. In addition, we offer support to our nurses to complete the revalidation process.
At New Care, we believe that this ongoing investment in our staff team supports them to feel confident and happy in their roles, which has a positive effect on all of our residents and the overall ethos of our homes.
Employee Testimonials
I have worked at Ashlands Manor Care Centre for 14 months, and I thoroughly enjoy my job. The staff I work with are helpful and friendly in all aspects of the job. I also enjoy the interaction with the residents. The management is approachable and understanding. The home is a lovely place to work in, and I find my role very rewarding.
CAROL RICHARDS, SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT
I have worked for New Care for over 4 years. When I first walked into The Grand, I was amazed that a care home could look like a hotel; I was lost for words. I began as a Senior Carer and then transferred to the Wellbeing Team. I was then given the opportunity to lead the Wellbeing team. New Care is a very family-oriented and person-centred company; nothing is too much trouble to meet the resident’s needs and wishes. I look forward to coming to work each day, and I can’t believe I get paid to do a job that I love.
BRIDGET PECK, WELLBEING COORDINATOR
I worked in care quite a few years ago and left due to bringing up my children. When my youngest started high school, I was able to go back to what I loved: looking after and caring for the elderly, and that’s what brought me to Grosvenor Manor Care Centre. Nothing gives me more pleasure than looking at happy residents; that’s what matters to me. This has done wonders for me as I was out of care for many years and have enjoyed all the training given by New Care. I have also made lots of friends along the way.
JAN SMYTH, CARE ASSISTANT
“NEW CARE is more than just a job; it’s very much a career.” Working for New Care has been an utter delight since I started in April 2018. I have been supported to gain new experiences and given the chance to rise within my job role. I have finally found a company to work with and not for.
