The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Medical Physiotherapy Service within University Hospital Wishaw. The role requires an enthusiastic and forward-thinking individual, with a focus on quality service delivery and a service improvement approach.
The Medical Physiotherapy team provides inpatient rehabilitation to a range of specialties, including respiratory, cardiology, gastroenterology, medical high dependency, and general medical. The team also has clinical responsibility within Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiac Rehabilitation, and Respiratory Out-patients. This leadership role is vital in developing and delivering the pan-Lanarkshire Medical Care Group priorities.

What we'll need you to bring
* Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
* Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
* Postgraduate expertise within specialty/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively, and efficiently.
* Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the specialty/area of practice.
* Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures associated with the specialty/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilized to deliver leadership within specialty/area of practice.
* Management qualification or equivalent gained through experience and continuous professional development.
* Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of specialty including study days/courses/postgraduate qualification.
* The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using their own initiative.
* Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.
It would be great if you also have
* Membership of relevant specialist interest group.
* Evidence of training in supervision and leadership skills.
* Member of CSP.
* Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience of research and audit.
Contract type
Permanent, Part Time, 22.2 hours.
Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in the Physiotherapy Medical Team within University Hospital Wishaw.
