Your mission As a Senior Project Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: A client facing role, you will lead the project controls function on the project in delivering timely and accurate project performance reporting, including cost and schedule tracking. Develop the Project Control Execution Plan, assimilating information from contract documentation, strategy, control systems and monitoring, project work breakdown structure, reporting calendar, responsibilities and training requirements. Development and implementation of regular and ad hoc project control reports for management and other stakeholders, identifying project variances, future projections and corrective actions. Support commercial team and planning engineers in developing work and cost breakdown structures and setting robust performance baselines. Monitor project scope delivery and evaluate alignment to performance targets, identifying variances and providing critical insights to project management. Produce weekly and monthly project performance reports, presenting planned, actual, and forecast performance against targets. Manage the financial control aspects of the project, including monitoring earned value, cost trends, and forecast completions, ensuring project profitability. Work closely with the Planning Manager and Commercial Managers to manage and integrate project controls functions, ensuring smooth reporting processes and alignment with project objectives. Support the management of project changes, forecasting their impact on schedule and costs, and assist in maintaining scope change control. Ensure all project controls systems are properly designed around FIDIC EPC contracts and support compliance with NEC contract requirements. Provide feedback to project management on current performance and projections to ensure performance targets are met. Who are we looking for? Essential: Proven experience as a Project Controller or similar role on large-scale civil engineering or energy infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of project management concepts, such as Earned Value Management, planning, and programming. Familiarity with the NEC contract and FIDIC contract delivery procedures. Expert in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and scheduling data to support decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders at all levels. Experience working on long-term infrastructure projects and in managing the integration of cost and planning functions. Desirable: Experience working on major energy infrastructure projects or large-scale civil infrastructure projects. Knowledge of construction and project controls in energy facilities or related fields. Demonstratable awareness of company policy and procedures on all matters relevant to work scope. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Successful experience in a Project Control role or experience and knowledge within key business functions.
