Requirement: Quality Assurance Engineer - North West
Package: Up to £65,000 (DOE)
Including pension with up to 12.5% company contribution, death in service cover, staff bonus scheme, healthcare, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with increments based on length of service.
Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Flexibility will be required to meet customer and business needs.
Role Overview: Reporting to the EPC Manager, as Quality Assurance Engineer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across a portfolio of major gas network infrastructure projects. Responsibilities:
1. Assist in developing & reviewing existing Project Quality Management system by establishing procedures, plans, and work instructions as needed.
2. Monitor implementation of the Asset/Project/Function Quality Management System through regular audits and reviews.
3. Support and monitor the implementation of the clients' CDM QMS on projects.
4. Produce Project Quality specific documentation for client acceptance such as Quality Plans, ITPs, and Databooks including structures.
5. Participate and provide input into technical HSE and integrity reviews.
6. Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure quality performance in different areas of work development and at various project phases.
7. Develop and ensure QA requirements are incorporated into Documents, Contracts, and Purchase Orders for both sub-contractors and suppliers.
8. Evaluate quality criteria within tender submissions and provide support during contract evaluation and award (MWCs, Sub-Contractors, and Suppliers).
9. Monitor and report on compliance and nonconformities and maintain relevant records.
10. Lead and attend meetings to provide professional QA advice to the project team.
11. Identify and manage risks that could impact achieving quality objectives.
Experience & Knowledge:
1. Experience of Gas Transmissions or Major Gas projects highly desirable.
2. Proven track record of managing Quality through all stages of Design and Build projects.
3. Experience in a similar role within Construction, Design, and Management projects.
4. Relevant and recognised Quality Assurance or Quality Management qualification.
5. Knowledge of ISO 9001, Health & Safety at Work.
