We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Site Supervisor to join our forward-thinking and growing company. The role will be mainly site-based reporting to the Group Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will have current relevant experience of overseeing highway works and supervising all disciplines onsite. However, there may be times when you are visiting between site and the office, ultimately providing a varied day-to-day balance. Role and Responsibilities:
* Supervising highway construction works and reporting to the Group Engineering Manager to provide updates on progress.
* Delivering multi-disciplined Section 278 Works ensuring all elements are completed to a high standard and to deadlines.
* On-site supervision/management of the construction team and visitors for the entire duration of the Civil Engineering works.
* Project managing multiple Civil Engineering projects.
* Monitor the construction works to ensure all specifications are adhered to.
* Assist the Engineering Team with the design drawings to ensure they are followed correctly.
* Sub-contractor supervision including site inductions and site record reporting.
* Complete resident liaisons throughout the entire project (if applicable).
* Provide technical assistance, advice including solving problems on site.
* Undertaking desk-based studies into roads and infrastructure.
* Conducting site investigation works and inspections.
* Liaison with local authorities including compiling & submitting required adoption documentation.
* Compiling detailed site reports.
* Obtaining 'sign off’ of the works from the Adopting Authority and pursuing adoption certification from the various authorities.
* Reviewing tenders and works quotations.
* Commercial assessments, valuations and costing of works.
* Review/production of CAD drawings.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Maintain company reputation by complying with regulations.
Environment and Working Hours:
* The office is an open plan environment.
* Company core office hours are 8.30 am until 5.00 pm (4:30pm on Fridays).
Person Requirements:
* Dynamic.

* Excellent Communication skills.
* Experienced in Project Management.
* Residential House Building background (preferable).
* Experience in dealing with highway works.
* Technical Understanding and documenting skills.
* Safety Management.
* Supervision & management skills.
* CAD experience (preferable).
* Understanding of current industry trends.
* Microsoft Office Competent.
* UK Driving License (Essential).
