The Role
The Compliance Finance Manager will be responsible for the management of a busy finance function (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Payroll), cashflow management and forecasting, and ensuring all statutory compliance (PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax, R&D Tax, Customs, Plastic Packaging Tax etc).
Hours of Work
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with core hours being 10am to 4pm.
What it takes
1. Qualified accountant (or qualified by experience) with at least 5 years relevant experience working in a busy finance department
2. Experience of liaison with external auditors and external tax advisors in completing annual financial statements
3. Strong financial accounting experience
4. Strong financial modelling skills including use of pivot tables and manipulation of data
5. Structured and organised
6. Good communication skills, comfortable communicating across all levels
7. Liaison with brokers around general insurance and credit insurance policy administration and claims
8. Experience in people management or a desire to develop in this area
9. Experience of planning and organising several tasks and prioritising, and to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines
10. Experience of using an ERP system
