Role Overview:
Operating in a fast-paced environment, the Construction Supervisor will play a key role in planning, scheduling, and managing job orders to ensure cost-effective and efficient service delivery. The successful candidate will coordinate operations, manage direct labour and subcontractors, and uphold high safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate daily operational aspects, including reviewing job orders, diaries, and material requirements.
* Ensure Health & Safety protocols are adhered to through audits, accident reporting, and toolbox talks.
* Act as the main point of contact for senior management and administration staff for service delivery queries.
* Work closely with Planners to ensure efficient work allocation and progress monitoring.
* Manage subcontractor relations, ensuring quality standards and performance requirements are met.
* Monitor job progress, track rejected jobs, investigate issues, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Analyse work instructions and SOR codes to ensure accurate valuations.
* Conduct pre- and post-inspection surveys to verify measurements and SOR applications.
* Regularly liaise with clients to address queries and adjustments.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and training to direct labour and subcontractor staff, including onboarding new team members.
* Ensure company systems (PDA and Orchard) are kept up to date with accurate work progress data.
* Attend meetings and provide accurate, up-to-date reporting as required.
* Perform additional duties to support the successful delivery of work within the business stream.
About You:
* Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within construction or facilities management.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Excellent understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
* Proficient in IT systems and operational planning.
* A team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
