Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a HVTI Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Nursing Quality & Education team, with a competitive salary range on offer, up to £65,000, depending on experience. This is a Monday-Friday role, based fully on site with the following shift patterns: Monday – Friday (0900-1700) Alternatively, 4 x long days (0800-1800) with a rotational day off The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a key worker role. The CNS addresses patients’ health concerns and works to promote their health and wellbeing. Using their skills and expertise in Cardiac, Thoracic and/or Vascular care, the CNS provides physical and emotional support to their patients, coordinates their care services, and informs and advises them on clinical and practical issues associated with their illness. This leads to a more positive outcome for patients. The HVTI CNS will be responsible for the overall CNS service and the further development and management of the team within this service. They will work closely with the Heart and Vascular Institute Chair in developing and maintaining appropriate standards. This position is also responsible for developing and implementing ongoing competencies and training using evidence-based methodologies that embrace patient-centered care, the nursing professional practice model, and shared decision making. Puts quality at the heart of practice by delivering evidence based individualised and personalised care through holistic needs assessment, care planning and evaluation of care and all care interventions. Acts as a ‘key worker’ for a clinical caseload, throughout the patient journey working to coordinate care and provide easy access for ongoing support for patients and caregivers. Leads and initiates the nursing contribution to service development, ensuring the pursuit of excellence in care. Designs, directs, implements and evaluates educational offerings based on knowledge, skills and learning levels of nursing staff and allied health professionals. In conjunction with the senior team, develops and monitors clinical and non-clinical performance standards being responsive to change and continuous quality improvement. What we need from you? Bachelor’s degree in nursing required. Post graduate qualification within specialty required (Cardiac, Thoracic and/or Vascular). Nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) required. Demonstrable experience working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within Cardiac, Thoracic and/or Vascular is required. Excellent presentation and training skills required, with track record of delivering clinical training courses. Independent Prescribing qualification (Desirable) What can we offer you?
