Life on the team
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Group Information Services team at Computacenter. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving team and make this role your own.
You will be part of a team of business system analysts focused on implementing new functionality, application upgrades, standardisation, and process improvements on differing technologies. You will work with technical teams and business teams to successfully deliver changes in a dynamic environment in line with Computacenter standards and processes.
What you'll do
* Work with users and key system stakeholders across Computacenter and the customer base to analyse enhancement requests, prioritise them, and collaborate with in-house technical teams as well as external suppliers to deliver them.
* Define the requirements, processes, procedures, and reporting for new modules, components, and applications to complement the existing toolset.
* Participate in workshops to ensure full alignment of requirements and solutions across technical and business teams.
* Ensure that all requirements are fully aligned to industry best practice, positioning Computacenter competitively.
* Own the delivery of small enhancements and new components, ensuring that solutions are thoroughly tested and meet specified functional requirements.
* Work in a geographically spread Agile team by writing user stories, performing show & tells, conducting functional testing, and creating documentation as needed for projects undertaken.
* Produce project plans, highlight reports, exceptions reports, and risk & issue logs when required.
What you'll need
* 3+ years in a similar Business Analyst role and at least 18 months in IT Service Management.
* Experience as the business analyst for an application development project delivered to (or within) a medium to large size company.
* Experience in analysing and delivering enhancement requests to a core business system deployed in a medium to large size company.
* Experience with systems that support IT Service Management (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy ITSM, HP Service Centre). Strong preference for ServiceNow.
* Administration experience of a ServiceNow instance, including delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items, and updates of existing solutions requiring revisions.
* An understanding of Incident management, problem management, change management, release management, and configuration management as it relates to ITIL.
* Experience implementing systems using Agile/Scrum methodology.
* Experience in Systems Development Life Cycle processing, including requirements analysis and systems design.
* Ability to write high-quality requirements documents, test plans, project plans, user guides, highlight reports, and release notes.
* Ability to guide technical teams on functionality that needs to be developed and any changes/corrections during the development lifecycle.
* Ability to conduct hands-on application functionality testing prior to user acceptance testing.
* Ability to design business processes, perform requirements analysis, and run requirements workshops.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to drive and influence others across the internal organisation.
* Ability to take ownership of both technical and business issues.
