Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities are:
Highly Specialist Dietetics Assessment and Treatment: Provide specialized dietetic assessment and treatment for adults in the above localities
Integration into Multi-disciplinary Team: Represent the nutrition and dietetic service within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a coordinated service delivery. Integrate nutritional advice seamlessly into the treatment program.
Patient-Centered Care: Demonstrate sensitivity, non-judgment, and professionalism in dealing with patients.
Accountability: Assume professional and legal accountability for all aspects of your work, including the management of patients/clients in your care.
Communication and Time Management: Possess excellent communication and time management skills to efficiently coordinate tasks and interactions with patients, carers, and fellow health professionals.
Line Management and Training: Exhibit experience in line management and student training, contributing to the development of team members.
Working for our organisation
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,258 to a maximum of £2,122 pro rata for part time).

Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent postgraduate degree.
Significant experience as a specialist dietitian including home enteral feeding.
Experience in complex diabetes dietetics.
Experience in delivering Structured Education.
Strong communication and time management skills.

Experience in student training.
