We're looking for a GCS Change Portfolio Manager within the General Insurance GCS Transformation and Change team. This opportunity is for someone who is driven, action orientated, understands the importance of process, and is focused on driving good outcomes. While the role has no people management responsibilities, you will be working with a wide range of stakeholders from IT, the GCS business, and wider, so somebody with great communication and stakeholder management skills would be a great fit.
A bit about the job: The purpose of this role is to be a key part of the GCS Transformation and Change team, owning, improving, and managing the process through which our change and continuous improvement opportunities are routed, managing the backlogs from prioritisation to key stakeholder presentation for decision making. You will be a key player in helping opportunities from the business translate into change delivery, building relationships and engagement channels with business product owner teams and IT to ensure join up and adherence to the agreed routing and backlog management processes. You will ensure governance is in place across our small change and continuous improvement programme, building material for the monthly GCS change forum, where Go/No decisions and updates on in-flight continuous improvement and small change initiatives are facilitated. This is a varied and challenging role that will cover governance, planning and resources, reporting, risk management, and engagement. Reporting to the GCS Transformation Portfolio Manager, you will be supported by an experienced team of Change Managers and the Head of GCS Transformation and Change.
Key Responsibilities:
* Previous PMO, change management or project management experience is essential, with change portfolio and/or backlog management exposure.
* Delivery-focused on outcomes and action orientated, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to solve problems and remove obstacles.
* Strong organisational skills including the ability to organise others and to work to deadlines, sometimes at short notice.
* Can manage and improve processes, securing buy-in from key stakeholders, partnered with the ability to develop and manage relationships through excellent communication skills.
* Excellent IT skills, with prior experience using Microsoft Office, including strong presentation skills and use of PowerPoint. Previous use of Jira, Assyst, or similar would be advantageous.
