Senior Stress Engineer Role

We are a leading Aerospace and Defence organisation seeking an exceptional Stress Engineer to join our innovative Design team.
The design department designs and develops cutting-edge rocket motors and related systems. Our analysis focuses on:
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting stress analysis of new and existing rocket motor systems using FEA software, including structural and thermal analysis.
* Applying various software tools and programming techniques, such as Abaqus, Altair-Hyperworks, Fortran, and Matlab.
* Rheological analysis of material testing results and providing expert advice to support the validation and verification of FEA models.
* Developing motor structural test plans and collaborating in the delivery and assessment of structural testing results.
* Serving as the technical authority for structural performance aspects of assigned projects, including project meetings, investigations, design reviews, and communication with customer stress engineers.
* Delivering key project documentation, including structural analysis and structural test plans, reports, and design records.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering, or a related field like Material Science.
* Strong understanding of material science principles
* Proficiency in ABAQUS software usage in professional or academic settings
* Experience with CAD modelling
