Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join a special purpose machine manufacturer based in West Yorkshire as a Lead Service Engineer / Service Team Leader in a commercially focused role.
Key aspects of the Lead Service Engineer role include –
1. Opportunity to grow the service team and improve service turnover whilst taking next steps into a lead position.
2. Service Engineers applying could be from either an electrical or mechanical background (to Level 3 apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical or installation/service engineer or equivalent).
3. Lead a small team of Service Engineers and be involved technically with regular site work.
4. Plan and manage the schedule for the service team to ensure the teams capacity is well utilised.
5. Identify opportunities for upselling and upgrades and involve Sales team with identified opportunities, including refurbishments and new equipment.
6. Ensure team members are fully inducted, trained and fully utilised.
7. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent H&S Qualification – ideal.
8. Previous experience of working in a supervisory role.
9. Prepare RAMS.
10. Experienced in schedule planning, selling, training and providing costings.
11. Full UK driving licence – essential.
12. Inspect site work, carry out surveys and maintain service stock.
