Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Controls Engineer, with working knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal (modifications to existing systems) combined with the ability to produce high quality Electrical designs, to work for a well-known and reputable OEM based in West Yorkshire.
This opportunity will suit a Controls Engineer with at least 3 years recent/relevant experience in this field.

* Preparing electrical schematics, panel layout drawings & cable schedules (AutoCAD or EPLAN).
* Writing software using established reusable blocks.
* Producing designs from P&IDs, I/O lists, functional design specifications (FDS), electrical schematic wiring diagrams, safety design documents, and customer specifications.
* Configuring Variable Speed Drives – ideally Siemens G120 and Rockwell PowerFlex series.
* Any experience of functional machine safety would be useful.
* Qualified to a minimum of HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* 80% office/home based role – 2-3 days per week in the office when not on site, with monthly trips to site for commissioning support of roughly 4-5 days involved (UK & International).
* A self-starter with full project life cycle experience.
* Must have a UK driving licence and be able to travel in and out of the UK without restriction.
The client is easily commutable from large parts of West Yorkshire including places such as Leeds, Bradford, Keighley, Ilkley, Harrogate, Skipton, Shipley and Otley.
