To support the Phlebotomy Team
Provide effective and efficient administrative support to the department and support the Band 4 Admin Team Co-Ordinator.
Expected to use own initiative and able to work unsupervised and take responsibility for themselves and the quality of their work and the service they provide to patients.
Must be able to plan and manage a range of duties, organise own work to meet deadlines and respond professionally to enquiries both internal and external to the organisation.
Act as a role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.

1. Act as first point of contact in scheduling outpatient waiting list and ensuring that clinics are utilised appropriately and waiting lists are managed effectively.
2. Liaise with clinician’s to ensure all Clinics are utilised and appropriate staffing is in place.
3. To provide cross-cover on a reciprocal basis in the absence of colleagues, providing day to day supervision and ongoing training and development for junior colleagues.

• Responsible for booking appointments
• Admit and Discharge clinics
• Provide administrative support as required, eg typing, data inputting, filing, scanning/copying in line with Trust Policies and Procedures.
• Answer/deal with complex face-to-face/ telephone and email enquiries from patients and other service users.
• Deal with incoming and outgoing post
