The Downs Veterinary Practice is looking for a Receptionist/Administrator to join the team in a 1st opinion and referral small animal practice in a highly desirable part of Bristol. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills and be able to demonstrate professionalism and integrity with a compassionate and caring approach. The ability to confidently work both as a team player and independently with initiative and a positive attitude is essential. The role demands accuracy and efficiency, necessary for this demanding multitasking position. The main duties include: Providing exceptional front of house service to the clients and the best care possible to their pets Promptly and efficiently taking telephone calls Liaising with veterinary practices and surgeons regarding referral cases Maintaining high standards of accuracy with computer data input Diary management Completing and submit pet insurance claim forms Cash handling and reconciliation Plus many other general reception and administrative duties Hours of work are shift based between 8:00am and 7:00pm Monday to Friday with a Saturday morning 9am-12pm on a rota basis. Full time hours are preferred but part time hours would be considered for the right candidate.
