I am a friendly independent lady living in my home with my cat, who is very important to me. I enjoy reading, yoga, knitting and participating in community activities. I am Autistic and have M.E./chronic fatigue syndrome, OCD, anxiety and allergies to dust, and require support with admin and organising my flat. In the long term, I will require support accessing activities that interest me and or benefit my health (gaming, yoga and support groups). Location: Wymondham Details: · Assisting with my weekly food shop and other occasional shopping.· Food preparation including cooking hot meals.· Supporting me with my household admin including making and taking phone calls, dealing with post, writing letters/emails, filing and taking notes during appointments/phone calls etc.· All aspects of household cleaning (weekly cleaning when my cleaner is unavailable). · Receiving callers to my home including taking deliveries, greeting workmen etc.· Animal care such as cat grooming and cleaning litter trays and taking my cat to the vet etc. in your car as necessary.· Occasional gardening, for example of patio pots, minor weeding - no lawn mowing required.· I would like your support to access activities of interest and benefit to me, such as gaming, yoga, support/craft groups, initially at home and then getting out and about as my health allows.· Any other reasonable tasks. Person specification Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. My assessment of these, both on application and at interview, will be the main factor in determining if you are successful. Please refer to these when submitting your application. Essential · Previous care/support work experience.· Car owner with a clean driving licence and appropriate business use insurance.· Able to clean to a high standard, with excellent standards of hand hygiene.· Able to cook a hot meal. · Ability to work around a shy house cat.· Able to follow written and verbal directions.· Respectful of my wishes.· Friendly, calm and quiet manner.· Very organised.· Flexible with working hours.· Non-smoker. Summary terms and conditions · The rate of pay for this position is £14.63 per hour. You will be paid double time for work carried out on a bank holiday.· You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role. Hours and times of work: Average 16 hours a week (64 hours total every 4 weeks), to include 3 or 4 weekday mornings, (3 to 4 hour shifts, 8 - 8:30am start preferred) and approximately 2 to 4 weekend or evening shifts a month. Days and hours to be discussed at interview.Times/days could change depending on available activities and any change in my health conditions. Opportunities to cover the absence of my other Support Workers.· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. The post is subject to the following · A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
