Senior Project Co-ordinator - Newport (IoW) Summary The National Trust Isle of Wight is seeking to provide further amenities and information to increase public confidence to explore the southwest coast area of the island. The Compton Landscape Project now needs more support to see the best possible delivery of our vision. Working hours will be between Monday and Friday. No weekend or Bank Holidays. days to be discussed at interview. We're currently undertaking our pay review process and it is likely that this salary will be increased from 1st April 2025. What it's like to work here You’ll be part of the London and South East Consultancy: a multidisciplinary team of experts, from curators and coastal specialists to project managers and archaeologists, who provide specialist advice and support to our properties to help make things happen. Your contractual location will be our Isle of Wight regional office, Mottistone and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing Support and report to the Project Manager to assist with the project delivery as well as seeking grant funding and other funding initiatives. Your help will be needed with monitoring and updating of the project programme, changes and risks, costs and budget and the production of mandatory project and grant information and reporting. A large component of the role will be the production of the necessary grant application including community engagement and dissemination of supporting data and working closely with the Grants Consultant to meet the grant process timescales. You will be involved in the development of heritage, nature and land management themes that will inform visitor experiences as well as the mapping and improvements to paths and trails, wayfinding and visitor engagement - this will involve time in the landscape and navigating varying terrains, including uneven and muddy ground. A key part of this role will be establishing and nurturing successful working relationships with a variety of consultants and contractors. Who we're looking for We’d love to hear from you if you’re: practically experienced in project management processes, administration and systems, including procurement, finance and reporting good at working with all kinds of people and organisations, able to build and sustain strong working relationships familiar with budgeting and able to collate, maintain, analyse and prepare data for reports used to conducting research or analysing evidence (including past findings, market research and understanding audiences) to support decisions comfortable with Microsoft packages, especially Excel, and other systems such as financial and visitor analytics skilled at multi-tasking, prioritising your workload and meeting targets through your thorough and detailed approach to work confident with managing diaries and organising practicalities for face-to-face meetings.
