They are a market leader in their industry and are now looking for an Electronically biased maintenance Technician / Engineer to join their team near Kempston, Bedford.
The Role:
1. As an Electronics Maintenance Engineer, you will carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and services, on predominantly electronic machinery and equipment as well as working on Mechanical equipment (full training will be provided).
2. You will be able to perform electronic fault-finding techniques to resolve breakdowns during production periods.
3. You will be mentoring and training apprentices and junior technicians and supporting their development.
4. You will record all completed tasks, keep a stock inventory and track order spare parts.
5. You will communicate effectively at all levels.
6. You will have a good idea / keen interest in continuous improvement and look at ways to improve current processes.
7. You will maintain and work towards high standards of health and safety, wearing full PPE where required.
Candidate Specification:
1. Apprenticeship qualified or equivalent within an Electronics Discipline.
2. A positive can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
3. You have a proven track record with Wafer Fabrications or working in a clean room environment.
4. You have a proven track record with electrical motors, controls panels, fault finding on PCB's down to component level and soldering.
5. You are able to follow a logical thought process when troubleshooting issues.
6. You have a proven track record working in full PPE with chemicals.
7. You have a willingness to keep learning and developing yourself and your engineering skills.
8. You are able to understand and follow Electronic & Electrical schematics drawings.
