The Strategic Insights & Analytics Head for the Emerging Markets region would be required to ensure a truly data-driven marketing and sales organization, generating insights and analytics from multiple data sources, using the most advanced tools, and leveraging GenAI capabilities. This position reports to the VP, Commercial Operations & Strategy, Emerging Markets and has direct responsibility for a team of 4 people.
What we are looking for
Key responsibilities:
1. Lead the Strategic Insights & Analytics team to provide market intelligence and generate actionable insights to inform performance reviews and drive key strategic decisions.
2. Identify and create analytics and insights and use cases to support the overall Emerging Markets strategy.
3. Collaborate with various departments, including therapeutic areas, Finance, Tech, BaaS, among others, to ensure alignment with broader EM objectives.
4. Serve as a catalyst for local operating companies (LOCs) by highlighting common challenges and facilitating discussions with relevant stakeholders.
5. Drive execution of strategic projects, monitor progress, and highlight potential issues or risks to relevant stakeholders.
6. Support the development of key emerging markets countries, identifying fit-for-purpose analytical solutions and cost-efficient operating models for each market.
7. Conduct thorough market research to understand trends, risks, and opportunities in both existing and new products and provide actionable plans to Therapeutic Areas and Countries for future execution.
8. Build and assess necessary capabilities across Strategic Insights and Analytics functions to engage effectively with customers and liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to build effective capability and learning modules aligned to EM objectives.
9. Identify and develop talents within the Strategic Insights function in countries and other regions and global teams as a possible catalyst for talent development.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
1. 10-15 years of experience in Regional or Global roles.
2. People management experience of at least 5 years.
3. Advanced degrees in business, marketing, or a related field are preferred.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
6. Extensive Digital Marketing & Analytics experience.
7. Proven experience in strategic insights, analytics, and market intelligence, within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. MBA.
2. Excellent senior stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
3. Experience working within regions with highly virtual, global, and diverse teams.
4. Exceptional communication skills and good personal presentation.
5. Problem-solving and negotiation capabilities skills.
6. Ability to deliver results in a complex/global environment and solve complex business and process problems.
7. Program and change management knowledge at a strategic level.
8. Ability to provide leadership, influence and collaboration in a matrixed organization.
9. Flexibility to travel extensively based within region on a long-term basis.
