Stripe is looking for a talented and experienced Corporate Paralegal or Company Secretary with a minimum of 8 years expertise working with Irish and UK corporate governance laws/companies act, requirements and regulations to join our team. Our team, the Corporate Subsidiaries Operations team, oversees board and entity management of Stripe’s global subsidiary portfolio. The team consists of motivated and dedicated individuals who have a curiosity to learn, are passionate about the subject matter and strive to enhance how we can get the work done more efficiently and effectively. Stripe is a high volume, fast paced company and we are looking for people who can help Stripe scale for growth.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will help build processes and systems to support and manage entities within Stripe’s growing global subsidiary portfolio, primarily with our Irish and UK entities initially. This will require previous experience working with large international private or public company boards; excellent project management and communication (verbal and written) skills; having strong document management, attention to detail and retention focus; and the ability to collaborate with multiple cross functional teams. Also, it would be helpful, but mandatory, if you have managed regulated entities or entities holding Money Transmitter Licenses or Payment Aggregator Licenses or worked with regulators such as the Central Bank of Ireland or the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK.
Responsibilities
* Help Stripe grow, streamline, and manage its global subsidiary portfolio, through incorporations, dissolutions, as well as working with cross functional teams on organizational restructuring and post-integration of newly acquired entities.
* Support various entity management matters, including helping to schedule board and shareholder meetings; manage the collection and production of materials for meetings, including drafting of agendas; and coordinating outreach/liaising with internal and external directors, shareholders and involved stakeholders.
* Be responsible for preparing board, shareholder and committee meeting minutes, written resolutions, and Secretary’s certificates.
* Support the Compliance organization and work with outside counsel and cross functional teams, to meet and fulfill compliance and regulatory requirements applicable to Stripe’s regulated subsidiaries.
* Respond to requests, inclusive of incoming KYC and UBO requests for information and documents from our internal and external auditors, regulators, financial partners, larger users and other stakeholders.
* Identify areas to improve our existing processes with technology, and generally improve leverage across the team.
* Assist with special projects as directed by leadership of the Corporate Subsidiary Operations team, with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment.

Minimum requirements
* Paralegal certificate and/or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
* 8-10+ years of relevant corporate paralegal experience or company secretary expertise with a law firm and/or in-house at a public or private company.
* Action and results-oriented, with the ability to demonstrate good judgment in a fast-paced, high-growth and dynamic environment.
* Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
* High level accuracy and attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
* Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals/stakeholders at all organizational levels.
* Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office Suite, Blueprint data management portal or similar, board portals like Diligent and BoardVantage, and CounselLink.
* A positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and a desire to be part of a strong, supportive team.
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €80,000 - €120,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
