Due to succession planning, the company has a rare and exciting opportunity for a UK Sales Leader. The Sales Leader will work with OEM and contribute to cutting-edge applications from automated factory floors to complex medical equipment. You will also manage the field sales engineering team across the UK and eventually move into a more senior level role within the next 3-4 years.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing OEM and large blue chip clients while developing new business opportunities.
2. Coordinate and liaise with the field sales engineers, working together to enhance customer relationships whilst working to identify new business opportunities.
3. Gradually become more involved in all sales activities within the team to ensure performance goals are met.
4. Track and manage all sales activities by effectively utilizing CRM systems.
5. Develop and implement sales strategies based on thorough market analysis to drive growth.
6. Achieve established sales objectives and targets.
7. Prepare and submit budgetary quotes in alignment with company standards.
8. Plan, budget, and forecast sales trends and performance metrics.
9. Provide leadership and support for the learning and development of the regional sales team.
10. Report directly to the UK Branch Manager and collaborate to ensure team success.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of 10+ years of technical field-based sales experience in Mechanical or Precision Engineering.
2. Good all-rounder in sales, account management, and business development.
3. Proven track record of generating and maintaining relationships with OEMs and large blue chip companies in Industries like Automation, Robotics, Medical, Paper & Packaging, and Electronics.
4. Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret sales data and develop strategies.
5. Experience in leading or managing small and technically astute sales teams with demonstrated success.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using CRM systems.
