Job Summary
Responsible for assisting in the efficient and effective preparation and service of food and beverages to patients, staff, and visitors, including the associated cleaning and hygiene-related duties. Specifically, to ensure Food Safety is given the utmost consideration and that all legislative and departmental practices are carried out strictly at all times.
Main Duties of the Job
* Food preparation following all food safety legislative and departmental practices
* Complete daily cleaning duties according to cleaning schedules in line with C.O.S.H.H. regulations
* Regular checking and completion of daily audit records (safety, cleaning, food hygiene)
* To be familiar with and assist in the security of the department and its contents
* Report equipment defects to ensure remedial action is taken
* Respond to requests for further/out of hours food requirements for patients and dining rooms
* Support shift supervisor and other team members in the patient meal service
* Able to load prepared meals onto regeneration food trolleys to meet ward expectations
