The Marketing Director is accountable for achieving the sales and profitability goals through executing effective Marketing Brand Strategies. This role provides direction and leadership support for the Marketing Strategy programs and Product Planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Vice President of Marketing in overseeing all functions with Marketing Communication
2. Assist in the setup of Brand Marketing strategy
3. Create and communicate a calendar of marketing events to the sales team
4. Media select, buying with agencies
5. Create sports marketing with agency
6. Sponsorship, Event Marketing with agency
7. Responsible for creating sports marketing with agency
8. Responsible for Sponsorship, Event Marketing with Agency
9. Prepare the Marketing Bi-annual President/Vice Chairman Report
10. Ad hoc marketing reports for the CEO North America, President at HQ
11. Dealer communication material building & planning
12. Manage ACE (Online Educational Training Portal)
13. Manage Website
14. Manage Social Media Agency
15. Manage online persona by monitoring search, forums, and review websites
16. Manage the App on the iOS Store and Google Play Store
17. Operate Retail Rebranding Initiative with Outdoor Sign Agency
18. Consumer Promotion Design
19. Channel co/Promotion Design
20. Monthly activity report to the CEO
Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:
1. Empowered to make decisions within the Region with the approval of Executive Vice President of Marketing.
2. Authority to make cross-functional decisions with the approval of Executive Vice President of Marketing in partnership with peers of other functions.
Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:
1. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
2. Proven leadership skills.
3. Supervisory or management experience, preferably of a sales staff.
4. Working knowledge of Tire Industry sales market segments.
5. Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior Marketing position.
6. Prior attendance at formal Marketing training courses a plus.
7. Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to learn and retain product-specific information and utilize it to position the features and benefits to the support team.
9. Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's or Associate degree in Business Management or related field (preferred)
2. Five plus years of Tire Industry Marketing experience
Working Hours:
Hours may vary and will require evening and weekend work depending on business needs and will require working overtime.
Working Environment: Office Environment
Tools and Equipment Used: Personal computer, e-mail, copier, fax, phone, and other standard office equipment
Travel: Ability to travel as required
