The Community Safety Team is currently recruiting two Community Safety Wardens to join the team.
Community Safety Wardens deliver a professional and effective uniformed service working with local communities, elected members, and colleagues from the local authority, police, and other partners to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB) and to improve community safety and quality of life.
The post holders will be based in Chester and will be required to travel to other locations across the borough when necessary to meet operational requirements.
The role involves foot patrols, providing effective enforcement for ASB and other relevant offences such as breaches of Public Space Protection Orders, littering, smoking in enclosed spaces and dog fouling and engaging with local communities and businesses to make public spaces cleaner and safer.
The postholder will work within a shift pattern as part of a rota, including evening and weekend working.
The position is subject to successful level Police Vetting.
Reporting to the Community Safety Supervisor, you will play an essential role in delivering our service priorities. You will need to be an enthusiastic, conscientious and resilient individual who wants the best for communities in the borough.

The contractual work locations for this role are listed above however you may be required to work from a range of work locations or sites within the Borough and may also be required to work from home, depending on the needs of the service.
