Salary: £53,300-£71,300 per annum

About the role
As a Mulesoft Architect, you will take ownership of the technical and logical architecture of our data products, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge integration solutions.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and product managers, you will deliver high-quality API-led integrations that drive innovation and efficiency
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and implement Mulesoft API-led integration solutions that align with business needs and architectural principles.
2. Provide strategic direction and practical implementation approaches for new developments and legacy migrations.
3. Ensure "Quality by Design" in Mulesoft architectures, whether developed in-house or through external partners.
4. Define governance models for API and event stream management, and establish best practices for security, authorisation, and operational resilience across all orchestration assets.
5. Lead by example in designing, building, testing, integrating, and operating orchestration services, fostering a strong community of practice within the technology teams.
6. Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, collaborating with key stakeholders, including the Orchestration Lead, Platform Leaders, Solutions Architects, and the Data Protection Officer. About you
We are looking for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in integration architecture, including at least 2 years of hands-on expertise with Mulesoft. You should have a strong background in Mulesoft development and enterprise-scale architecture.
Outstanding communication skills are crucial, as you will need to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders. Additionally, you should have full project lifecycle experience from inception to delivery.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Mulesoft Architecture Certifications are preferred.
You will also need:
7. Expertise in API design, RAML, RESTful and SOAP web services.
8. Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud preferred).
