Health and Wellbeing Substance Misuse Nurse
The role of Health and Wellbeing Substance Misuse Nurse will oversee all elements of clinical care to patients registered to Telford Stars.
Main Duties of the Job
To provide high-quality, planned care to individuals experiencing substance misuse problems to improve their health and wellbeing and to support their recovery.
The main responsibility of this role includes the delivery of community alcohol and drug detoxifications and acting as the link with our partnership inpatient detox facility, ensuring positive working relations to provide our service users with the appropriate plan of care and aftercare.
Take a lead role on the healthcare agenda, ensuring service users new into treatment are provided with healthcare requirements and screening, such as BBVs, harm reduction advice, and physical health observations, liaising with the appropriate partnership agencies in line with the Public Health Agenda, whilst embracing and promoting the concept of recovery.
Communicate with and support primary care to work collaboratively to address the health needs of Telford Stars service users.
Be proficient in the use of information technology and able to work with minimal supervision. We work within a multi-disciplinary team approach which requires flexibility and the ability to prioritize and adapt according to service needs, as well as acting as a key leader in providing clinical supervision and training.

Qualifications
* A professional nursing qualification. NMP qualification or agreement that will work towards achieving this.
Experience
* A minimum of two years' experience of working with drug and alcohol users and three years as a qualified registered nurse.
