CLERICAL/FINANCE ASSISTANT APPRENTICE Salary: Apprenticeship Rate: £6.40 per hour for the first 12 months of employment. (National Apprenticeship Rate increasing to £7.55 per hour in April) Annual salary per annum: £11,965 (Based upon £7.55 hourly rate) Contract: Fixed term, 18 months, term time plus 6 days Hours: 35 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 4.00 pm Start Date: Apprenticeship will start 24 th February 2025 or as soon after as possible idgeway Primary Academy has a new and an exciting opportunity for a Clerical/Finance Assistant Apprentice to join our school. The Clerical/Finance Assistant Apprentice will join our office team to provide general clerical, administrative and financial support to the school. Key Responsibilities: Undertake reception duties, answer routine telephone and face to face enquiries and sign in visitors. Assist with arrangements for visits from relevant external bodies, e.g. school nurse, photographer etc. Provide routine clerical support, e.g. photocopying, filing, emailing and completing routine forms. Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems and respond to queries. Undertake routine typing, word-processing on an ad hoc basis. Sort and distribute and record mail. Undertake routine administration, e.g. registers/school meals. Operate office equipment e.g. photocopier, computer. Arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies. Undertake routine financial administration e.g. collect and record dinner money. This will include 1 day of study per week.
