Selection Criteria

Role
The job hours are 8:30am-4:36pm Monday to Friday.
An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
An education support class position at this range commencing at the base will initially be limited to undertaking routine tasks that are carried out under close supervision and direction. Work that carries some degree of independence will generally involve a limited number of tasks performed on a regular basis where priorities are clear, procedures are well established, and direction is readily available. Subject to any specific qualification and/or training requirement, an education support class employee employed in this range may be progressively required to undertake coordination, specialised student/teacher support tasks, or technical tasks as experience in the role is gained.
Responsibilities
* Ability to Follow DET Finance Policy & Procedures
* Ability to manage own workload and timelines
General Office Support:
* Meet and greet all visitors to the school and check WWC
* Answer incoming calls
* Provide support to staff regarding student payments for camps, events and other payments to the school by parents
Communication:
* Liaise with Level leaders on planning excursions, camps and incursions with planning and budgets
* Liaise with external parties regarding newsletter advertising, facility hire and contracts.
* Provide information to parents regarding payments, statements, CSEF / SSB and School policy
Records Management:
* Enter all charges onto CASES21
* Ensure that all events entered on Compass are approved timely
* Ensure that Compass reports and CASES21 reports are accurate and updated
* Remove all student charges as soon as practical when they have exited.
* Ensure that all new student charges are entered onto CASES and Compass
* Ensure that all reports are filed as required (electronically or paper-based) in line with DET policy
* Ensure that all CSEF applications are processed and updated
Maintenance of school resources:
* Updating phone and voicemail system
Other Typical duties:
* Remove all charges when event/camp has been completed
* Process instalment payments via Compass as required
* Ensure that banking is updated daily
* Process and pay parent refunds in a timely manner
* Ensure that all money coming into the school is processed timely and receipted
* Ensure that all Compass batches are updated daily
* Reception duties including telephone and desk enquiries as required
* Provide cash floats for school-based activities
* Entering purchase orders and invoices into CASES21
