Portsmouth Water are delighted to have an opening for a Business Markets Field Technician to join the Business Markets Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking site visits with Developer Customers in relation to new water connections and assist with non-household supply investigations whilst ensuring safe, first-time solutions. This role involves scheduled work to ensure Water UK and Non-Household Service Level Agreements are met whilst providing excellent customer service to maintain industry leading D-MeX and B-MeX performance. The position requires collaboration with multiple teams across the business including Networks, Water Regulations and Asset Management. What will you be doing? Key Responsibilities Undertake initial site survey appointments with Developer customers and agree a Point of Connection to the network and provide the necessary information to the Developer Services Administrative team to accurately provide a quotation for the works, in accordance with metric W2.1 and W3.1. Record accurate action dates for Levels of Service metric reporting. Complete Work Orders for Wholesale Services to assist them in meeting their requirements under MOSLs Market Performance Framework. Manage inbound contact via phone and email. Build and develop relationships with Developer and Non-Household customers for D-MeX and B-MeX qualitative surveys. Provide the technical support for Business Markets Customer Leads to ensure communication to Developer and Non-Household customers is accurate. What do you need? Skills and Qualifications Excellent verbal, written and non-verbal communication skills. Organisational and time management skills. Able to work as a team as well as using own initiative. Be able to work under pressure effectively and efficiently. Prioritisation skills. Collaborative working with a Contractor. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Suggest changes to make processes more efficient. Have a positive can-do attitude. Quantitative metric monitoring and compliance. Previous field / on-site experience. Strong water network and water regulation knowledge and initiative to problem-solve field issues. Driven by safe, first-time results and motivated by seeing activities through from the start to finish. A proven track record of owning or leading tasks and activities, with a drive to see jobs through to resolution. Full UK driving license EUSR Water Hygiene. BPEC in Water Regulations.
