The Opportunity We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join BEAR Scotlands commercial team, working on a long-term contract with Transport Scotland to manage and maintain the Scottish Trunk Road Network. Based at the Perth office, this role offers a hybrid working model with three days in the office and two days working remotely. The standard working hours are 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities As a Quantity Surveyor, you will ensure the effective delivery of the commercial function within the Contract by collaborating with the team to: Measure and value the progress of works based on a schedule of rates. Collect, collate, and store relevant measurement data. Ensure operational teams complete all site and measurement records. Manage Subcontractors, including assessing applications, preparing payment notices, and calculating monthly liabilities and accruals. Report on cost/value analysis for various projects. Your Skills and Experience We are looking to hear from candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications: Essential: Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management degree or equivalent qualification. Proven Quantity Surveying experience. Desirable: Background in civil or construction environments. Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel. Ability to manage, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines. Effective communication and interaction skills. Sound knowledge of MMHW. Why Join BEAR Scotland?
